DC Watts to Volts Formula

DC Volts = Watts/Amps

In case of DC, the voltage V in volts (V) equals the power P in watts (W), divided by the current I in amps (A). The aforementioned formula can also be expressed as:

V(V) = P(W)/ I(A)

AC single phase watts to volts Conversion Formula

Volts = Watts / (Amps * Power Factor)

The RMS voltage V in volts (V) equals the power P in watts (W), divided by the power factor PF times the phase current I in amps (A). The aforementioned formula can also be expressed as:

V(V) = P(W) / (PF × I(A))

AC three phase watts to volts Conversion Formula

In case of line to line voltage

Volts (L-L) = Watts / ( 3 * Amps * Power Factor)

The line-to-line RMS voltage VL-L in volts (V) is equal to the power P in watts (W), divided by the square root of 3 times the power factor PF times the phase current I in amps (A). The aforementioned formula can also be expressed as:

VL-L(V) = P(W) / (3 × PF × I(A)) ≈ P(W) / (1.732 × PF × I(A))

In case of line to neutral voltage

Volts (L-N) = Watts / ( 3 * Amps * Power Factor)

The line to neutral RMS voltage VL-N in volts (V) is equal to the power P in watts (W), divided by 3 times the power factor PF times the phase current I in amps (A). The aforementioned formula can also be expressed as:

VL-N(V) = P(W) / (3 × PF × I(A))
